Why Your Vision Feels Dim (and How God Restores It)

There are moments when life feels dim, not because the world is dark, but because our inner eyes are tired.
The Bible tells us this is not new. Before the fall, Adam and Eve’s spiritual eyes were closed—they could only see God’s goodness. But when they chose the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, their eyes opened in the wrong direction (Genesis 3:7). They saw their lack instead of God’s abundance.
After the resurrection, Jesus reversed that story.
On the road to Emmaus, He walked with two disciples, opened the Scriptures, and then
Not their failures.
Not their nakedness.
Him.
It’s the gentle miracle of Communion: God helping us see Jesus again.
When the heart is crowded with fear or confusion, the Lord doesn’t shame us. He breaks bread with us. He reveals Himself. And our sight begins to heal from the inside out.
When Jesus becomes the focus, clarity returns.
