What the Apostles Really Died For

The apostles died for the gospel, not for moral causes.
Martyrs don’t give their lives for better behavior.
They give it for better news.
In Acts 4, when the authorities threatened the apostles, it wasn’t because they were teaching morality.
It was because they proclaimed:
Acts 4:12
The early church wasn’t persecuted for ethics.
Rome had plenty of those.
It was persecuted for declaring that Jesus alone saves —
a message that shakes empires and frees hearts.
Moral causes can be noble.
But the gospel is eternal.
It’s the one message worth living for and dying for because it’s the only message that brings people from death to life.
