Jesus sat by the well tired, hungry, and thirsty (John 4:6).
His disciples had gone to buy food.
He had nothing to give—so it seemed.

Then a Samaritan woman approached, and Jesus began to pour out grace she never asked for. He revealed living water, exposed her heart without shaming her, and finally told her something He had not said so plainly to anyone else:

“I who speak to you am He” (John 4:26) .

When the disciples returned with lunch, they were confused. Jesus looked refreshed—strong again, alive with purpose.

He simply said, “My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me” (John 4:34) .
In other words:

Loving her was His nourishment.
Loving you is His joy.

You don’t drain Jesus by needing Him.
You feed Him by letting Him give.

You are not a burden to Jesus; you are His daily delight.
