Mystery of The Red Heifer

We are spirits living in bodies, walking through a fallen world.
The Bible calls this world a wilderness. And in a wilderness, you inevitably bump into things that carry the scent of death.
A conversation drains your hope. A news report induces panic. Or a book sounds wise, but is actually filled with "death in the pot."
In the Old Testament, God provided a specific remedy for those who touched death. It wasn't the standard sin offering. It was the ashes of the Red Heifer mixed with running water.
This mixture contained hyssop (faith) and cedar (majesty), and it was sprinkled on the defiled person to make them clean again.
The heifer is female. In biblical typology, the male represents the objective truth (the position), while the female represents the subjective experience (the application).
This offering is about application.
When you feel the headache of the world's negativity, or the heaviness of a toxic environment, you don't need to get saved again. You are already His.
What you need is the washing of the water of the Word. You need the "ashes", the finished work of Jesus, applied to your conscience right now.
You wash your mind by immersing it in the truth of what Jesus has already done.
When you touch the world's death, wash it off with His life.
