The Three Words Jesus Used Against Darkness

Some say the written Word is outdated.
Jesus thought differently.
In the wilderness, face-to-face with the enemy,
Jesus didn’t use a vision, a miracle, or a fresh revelation.
He used Scripture.
Not “I feel led.”
Not “I sense God saying.”
Just three simple words:
Matthew 4:4
–10
If the Son of God trusted the written Word
in His moment of greatest weakness,
we don’t rise above that path—we follow it.
The written Word is not less spiritual than a spoken word.
It is the standard against which all voices are tested.
Sometimes faith isn’t about hearing something new.
It’s about standing on something already said.
When Jesus used “It is written,” He showed us where real authority lives.
