Paul doesn’t begin marriage instructions with effort.
He begins with a Person.

“Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church.”
Ephesians 5:25

Most people read that as a command.
Paul meant it as a direction.

You cannot love like Christ
unless you first see how Christ loves.

How does He love the church?

He does not condemn or shame her.
He does not rehearse her failures.
He calls her “altogether lovely” and “without spot” (Song of Songs 4:7).

So the focus is not
“Love harder.”
It’s
“Look at Him.”

When you behold His love,
you begin to love like Him.

And God’s grace transforms you far more
than pressure ever could.

We love better when we first look at how He loves us.
