The Root of Your Anger

A physically hungry person often becomes angry. We understand this physical reality. Yet, we fail to recognize spiritual hunger. Many people struggle with chronic anger, depression, and anxiety simply because they starve their spirits.
They try to satisfy this hunger with entertainment, social media, or food. These things do not work. They leave the soul empty.
Jeremiah understood the proper response to God's Word:
"Your words were found, and I ate them, and Your word was to me the joy and rejoicing of my heart; for I am called by Your name, O Lord God of hosts."Jeremiah 15:16 (NKJV)
The Hebrew word for bread is (lechem) לֶחֶם — "bread". Jesus called Himself the bread of life. You do not analyze bread; you eat it.
When you open the Bible, do not treat it as a textbook. Treat it as nourishment. Read it to feed your inner man. As you consume the truth, joy returns. Strength returns.
When you feel empty, do not look for a distraction; open the Word and eat.
