There is a Chinese proverb: "Don't ask the fish about the water."

Why? Because the fish is so immersed in the water, it cannot describe it. It has no point of reference for anything else.

We are the same with this life. We are so confined to our earthly existence—paying bills, preparing children for exams, planning holidays—that we cannot fathom a life that is better. We think of heaven as a vague, misty existence where we float around as spirits.

But the Bible offers a different perspective.

“...we are waiting for the adoption, the redemption of our body.” Romans 8:23

God didn't just redeem your soul; He paid for your body. The future isn't about floating; it is about physicality without decay. A new body. One that can shake hands, eat, and relate, yet never grow old, never need repair, and never feel tired.

God designed the pleasures of this world. He knows how to design a body that can experience even greater joys in the next.

Don't let the water you swim in limit your imagination of the blessed life that is coming.
