We spend years trying to “find our calling,” as though purpose were a hidden treasure buried beneath career choices or personality tests.

Purpose is not a plan. Purpose is a Person.

A man without God is like a clock without its mainspring. Beautiful, well-designed, full of potential, but lifeless. All the complex gears of your talents, intellect, dreams, even weaknesses… none of them turn until the mainspring engages.

Jesus said:
“I am the vine; you are the branches… Without Me, you can do nothing.” (John 15:5)

Branches don’t strain to bear fruit.
They don’t attend “how to fruit more” workshops.
They just stay connected.

We call this abiding.

It is not striving or performing. It simply means staying close to Him. When you do, His life and peace fill you. Purpose stops being a destination you chase and becomes a life that flows out of you.

Only one thing is needful:
Stay connected to the Vine, and fruit happens.
Disconnect, and you’re just a decorative branch: pretty, but powerless.

You were not made to be decorative.
You were made to be alive.
