Sealed for Protection

In the Bible, oil is never just a condiment. It is a symbol of the Holy Spirit and His power.
We see this in James, where the sick are anointed with oil. It’s not the oil that heals; it’s the power of the Spirit that the oil represents.
But the Spirit does more than heal—He protects. The Bible says we are "sealed with the Holy Spirit" (Ephesians 1:13).
Think of a Roman seal on a scroll or a tomb. That seal meant two things:
- Ownership: This belongs to the King.
- Protection: The penalty for breaking this seal is death.
A seal protects the contents from theft, tampering, and injury. You are sealed by God. You are marked as His property.
When you walk through dangerous times, remember that you are not exposed. You are under the King’s seal. The enemy sees the mark of the Holy Spirit on you and knows you are off-limits.
You are not just safe; you are sealed.
