Most of us want more peace and more favor. The natural human instinct is to ask, "What must I do to get it?"

We assume the path to increase is increased effort—more discipline, more service, more hours. But the Bible gives us a completely different formula for growth.

“Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord...” 2 Peter 1:2

The multiplication of grace and peace happens in the knowledge of Him.

The word used here for knowledge is (epignōsis) ἐπίγνωσις — “precise, correct, and experiential knowledge.”

It isn’t just knowing facts about Him; it is knowing Him accurately. And look at what is multiplied: Peace.

The Hebrew equivalent is (shalom) שָׁלוֹם — “wholeness, health, welfare, and peace.”

Shalom is the feeling you have when you stand up and realize everything is alright. It is total well-being. Scripture promises that this well-being is multiplied not by doing more, but by seeing more.

If you want to increase the results, don't increase the labor. Increase the clarity of your vision of Jesus.
