We don’t usually recognize a divine delay while we’re standing in the middle of it.
It feels like pressure.
It feels like, “Why now?”
Sometimes it even feels like God is silent.

But Scripture says:

“The steps of a man are established by the LORD.”
Psalm 37:23

Not rushed.
Not random.
Established.

There was once a family rushing to catch a night flight.
Everything went wrong—traffic, timing, confusion.
By the time they reached the airport, the counter had closed.
Frustration piled on frustration as they ran through the terminal with luggage, a pram, and the feeling of anxiety sitting heavy on their shoulders.

Miraculously they made it onto the plane despite being late.

Then, seated and exhausted, another announcement came:
the conveyor belt was faulty… and that was why the entire flight was delayed.

Every bag.
Every passenger.
The whole aircraft… waiting.

Only then did it become clear:
what looked like anxiety was actually protection.
What felt like “too late” was, in God’s hands, perfectly on time.

We often assume delays mean God is distant.
But sometimes He is closer than ever, rearranging things we never see.

A delay in your journey may be the very moment God is moving pieces into place for your safety, your peace, or your good.

A delay in God’s hands isn’t a setback; it’s a setup.
