Fruit Doesn’t Happen by Forcing; It Happens by Remaining

We often try to behave our way into transformation—
stricter habits, stronger willpower, tighter self-control.
But Jesus uses a simpler picture:
John 15:5
The vine that produces fruits isn’t the result of trying harder.
It’s the result of staying connected with the branch.
The Greek word for abide, (menō) μένω — “remain, stay, dwell”, carries no sense of striving.
Just presence.
Just relationship.
When your heart rests in grace, you begin living from a different center.
Old reactions soften.
New desires awaken.
Patterns shift without force.
Right believing isn’t a slogan.
It’s sowing into the thought that you are forgiven and made righteouse in Christ every day.
And sowing always produces something.
Fruit grows best when you stop trying to be the tree and simply stay rooted to it.
