We spend so much of life caring for what we can see: houses, cars, savings, and possessions that feel solid simply because they sit in front of us.

Paul says in 2 Corinthians:
“For the things which are seen are temporary,
but the things which are not seen are eternal.”
2 Corinthians 4:18

Everything physical, everything you can touch, is already passing away.
It may feel stable, but it won’t last.
Because it won’t last, Scripture teaches us to hold these things lightly.

Jesus says:
“Lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven… For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”
Matthew 6:20–21

Heaven is eternal, and so is your spirit life in God's kingdom. Glory and the world to come will last forever.

Yet we often treat earth as if it were forever.
We pour our time and energy into a world that is fading, while treating eternal things as though they can wait.

It’s not wrong to enjoy what God gives here.
It just isn’t wise to treat it like home.

This world is the hotel room.
Heaven is our home.

Invest where you’re actually going to be staying.
