Think about what creation cost God.

He made light with a sentence.

"Then God said, 'Let there be light'; and there was light."Genesis 1:3 (NKJV)

Stars, oceans, mountains, galaxies — all of it came the same way. He spoke, and it stood.

"For He spoke, and it was done; He commanded, and it stood fast."Psalm 33:9 (NKJV)

No effort. No cost. No sacrifice. A word was enough.

Now think about what redemption cost God.

When man fell, God did not speak a sentence from heaven to fix it. The Son of God took on flesh and blood, walked to a cross, and died on it. Creation required a word. Redemption required a body and blood.

"...knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold... but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot."1 Peter 1:18-19 (NKJV)

The word translated "redeemed" is (elytrōthēte) ἐλυτρώθητε, from (lytroō) λυτρόω — "to release by paying a ransom." Redemption is a purchase. A price changed hands. And the price was blood.

Here is the detail many believers miss. Angels rebelled before man did. Lucifer fell, and a third of the angels fell with him. Jesus did not die for any of them.

"For indeed He does not give aid to angels, but He does give aid to the seed of Abraham."Hebrews 2:16 (NKJV)

No cross for fallen angels. No ransom. No second chance. But for man — the creation God formed personally, the creation God loves most dearly — the Son of God bled.

This is why Satan hates you. He knows what you are worth to God, because he watched God pay the price. God spoke the universe into existence and never strained. But to buy you back, He gave the life of His Son.

You were not an afterthought in the plan of God. You were the purchase He was willing to bleed for.

The value of a thing is measured by what someone paid for it — and God paid for you in blood, not words.
