Geological evidence and ancient records support the biblical account of a universal flood. Geologists have documented marine life remains, such as skeletons, embedded in the rock of the high Himalayas. This physical data indicates that water once covered high-altitude land masses.

Before this event, the earth's atmosphere was different. The Bible describes a "firmament" or (Raqia) רָקִיעַ — "expanse, canopy" — that enveloped the earth. This canopy maintained high oxygen levels and protected the earth from solar radiation, which resulted in longer human lifespans.

“And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament.” Genesis 1:7

The flood occurred when this canopy collapsed and subterranean water sources gushed out. To manage the excess water, God tilted the earth's axis. This tilt created the polar ice caps and established the four seasons we experience today.

Scientists note that if the earth were positioned only a few miles closer to or further from the sun, human life would be impossible. The earth remains in a specific, functional position.

Nature is not a closed system of random events; it is a documented record of God's management.
