The One Reason Many Are Sick

Paul gives one reason why many believers were weak, sick, and even dying.
1 Corinthians 11:30
The Greek word translated reason is singular.
Paul does not name lifestyle, stress, age, or genetics as a combined cause.
He gives one reason:
1 Corinthians 11:29
They understood the cup as forgiveness of sins.
They did not understand the bread as His body broken so theirs could be whole.
Isaiah says:
Isaiah 53:5
The first believers made communion part of daily life.
Luke records:
Acts 2:46
They did this each day in their homes.
Communion was central to their life together.
They did not treat communion as only a ritual or symbol.
They responded to what they understood about Christ’s body.
They knew the bread meant healing and wholeness for their bodies.
They received communion before sickness struck.
They received what Jesus accomplished before disease appeared.
The New Testament does not describe the early church holding endless prayer lines for the sick.
Instead, it describes believers living in unusual health because they understood what Christ’s broken body provided.
They did more than pray for healing on occasion.
They lived by the truth that His body was broken so theirs could be whole.
They did not treat health as a miracle reserved for a crisis.
They received communion as their daily meal.
