“Then I restored that which I took not away.”
Psalm 69:4

Jesus quoted this verse in the Upper Room (John 15:25), making it clear —
this was about Him.

He didn’t steal your peace.
He didn’t cause your loss.
He didn’t break your life.

But He stepped into the position of the guilty one,
and said to the Father,
“I’ll restore what they lost… even though it wasn’t Mine to restore.”

At the cross, He repaired damage He didn’t cause.
He paid debts He didn’t incur.
He carried guilt He didn’t earn.
He restored what He never took.

This is what love looks like when it becomes a Person.

Jesus took responsibility for what wasn’t His so He could give you what could never be yours without Him.
