We spend so much of life trying to earn what God has already given.

Approval.
Worth.
Righteousness.

But God doesn’t place righteousness on a scoreboard; He places it on a cross.

“Those who receive abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.”
Romans 5:17

Gift means you didn’t achieve it.
Gift means you can’t lose it.
Gift means it doesn’t shrink on your bad days or expand on your good ones.

God doesn’t hand you righteousness with one hand and take it back with the other.
He places it on you like a robe — the same robe the father wrapped around the prodigal son the moment he came home (Luke 15:22).

Righteousness isn’t a goal you climb toward; it’s a reality you wake up into.

And the more you believe it, the more you live in it.
