Speak to your storm
Nature is not just scenery. According to Scripture, creation is alive, aware, and suffering.
The earth is groaning under the weight of the fall. It was subjected to futility, not because it wanted to be, but because humanity lost its way. Now, creation is on its tiptoes, waiting for something specific to happen.
It isn't waiting for God to come down. It is waiting for you to grow up.
The word used here for "sons" is (huios) υἱός.
It doesn't refer to little children. It refers to mature sons and daughters who know their inheritance and their authority.
Why is creation waiting? Because it knows that a mature son has the power to break the bondage of corruption.
Realization is useless without action. The moment you know who you are, your voice changes. You stop reporting the chaos and start commanding the peace. You speak to the withered situation, the sickness in the body, or the storm in your home.
The world is waiting for you to realize who you are so it can finally obey what you say.
