Purity Begins With Right Believing

The gospel purifies the heart.
People try to change from the outside in.
God changes us from the inside out.
You can scrub habits, adjust behavior, and manage impulses,
but purity begins in a place only the gospel can reach —
the heart.
Scripture is simple:
Acts 15:9
The gospel doesn’t just forgive.
It purifies.
It doesn’t just remove guilt.
It renews desire.
When the heart becomes anchored in grace —
in the certainty that you’re forgiven, loved, and accepted —
sin loses its pull.
Shame loses its grip.
Holiness becomes something you want, not something you fear.
Purity is not the reward of good living.
It’s the result of right believing.
The gospel cleans the place behavior could never reach.
