We live in a world full of heroes: actors, athletes, and public figures.
But these heroes all keep their distance.
Up close, their flaws show and the pedestal crumbles.

Jesus is different.

He lived with His disciples day and night. He ate with them, traveled with them, and shared their daily lives.

The closer they got, the more His beauty showed.

“We beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.”
John 1:14

Most heroes want admiration from a distance. Jesus wants a relationship up close.

Earthly heroes hide their weaknesses, but Jesus had none to hide.

Famous figures focus on crowds. Jesus cares for individuals, knowing each person by name.

You don’t have to reach Him through a screen or a pedestal.
You don’t have to impress Him to be near Him.

He is the Hero who comes close enough for you to hear His voice and carry your burdens.
