Christ died for us while we were still sinners—before we cared about God.

Grace didn’t wait for you to improve.
It didn’t even wait for you to notice.

Paul puts it in the simplest, most staggering sentence:

“While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
Romans 5:8

Not after repentance.
Not after good behavior.
Not after sincerity.

Before you prayed, He acted.
Before you cared, He came.
Before you reached for Him, He reached for you.

This is the part your heart needs to grasp:
God didn’t love a future, improved version of you.
He loved the real you — the one who wasn’t looking His direction at all.

Grace starts where your effort ends.
It always has.

God didn’t wait for your love to save you.
