Called Out of Darkness, Made a Living Stone

In ancient quarries, stones sat in thick darkness until someone went in, cut them free, and carried them out.
That’s the picture Peter uses to describe what God has done for us.
“He called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.”
1 Peter 2:9
You weren’t a stone searching for a way out.
You had no ladder, no strength, no plan.
Christ came into your darkness, lifted you, and made you His own.
And He didn’t leave you on the ground.
He built you into something larger than your own story:
1 Peter 2:5
A living stone is a stone placed with purpose.
A stone that carries weight, belonging, and design.
Your life — your parenting, work, desires, relationships — is part of a structure God Himself is shaping.
Nothing in your story is wasted.
Each season is a placement.
And one day, that house will shine with a glory so real that the universe will recognize the craftsmanship.
You were called out.
You were carried in.
You are being built.
You didn’t climb out of darkness — Someone carried you into the light.
