Ten lepers stood at a distance and cried out for mercy.
Jesus responded with an instruction that didn’t make sense yet:

“Go, show yourselves to the priests.”
Luke 17:14

But that act was only required once a leper was already cleansed.
And they were not.

They were still diseased and excluded, carrying skin that showed their condition.

Luke records what happened next:

“And so it was that as they went, they were cleansed.”
Luke 17:14

Jesus did not wait for them to look healed.
His mercy met them inside their first step of obedience.

God does not wait until you get everything right.
He walks alongside you before anything looks different.

One returned to Jesus, the true Priest, because he knew where his healing came from.

Sometimes the breakthrough you’re praying for is already waiting on the direction you’ve been given.

The cleansing begins long before you feel clean.
