A True Believer Cannot Stay in Sin

Falling into sin is human.
Living in sin is impossible for someone born of God.
John writes,
“His seed remains in him; and he cannot continue in sin.”
1 John 3:9
Not because the believer is strong.
Because the new nature refuses to stay where it does not belong.
The sheep may slip into the mud, but it never stays.
The cry inside pulls it back.
Paul says it like this:
“I delight in the law of God in my inner man.”
Romans 7:22
There is a real conflict — but the direction of the heart reveals the truth.
The believer returns.
The believer repents.
The believer cannot make sin their home.
It’s not willpower.
It’s spiritual DNA.
The proof of salvation is not perfection but direction.
