The guarantee of protection (no evil befalls you, no disease comes near your dwelling) is conditional on one thing: 

dwelling "in the secret place of the Most High".

That secret place? It is in Christ Jesus.

Welling there ensures you abide "under the shadow of the Almighty" on earth. 

The Psalmist understood this: "under his wings, you will take refuge" (Psalm 91:4)
