Living Under Psalm 91, Not Psalm 90

Many Christians believe that God limits their lifespan to seventy or eighty years. They base this belief on a verse in Psalm 90.
Moses wrote Psalm 90. He wrote it in the wilderness while the people of Israel lived under God's wrath. That limit was a consequence of unbelief, not a permanent promise for you.
As a believer in Jesus Christ, you do not live under Psalm 90. You live under the New Covenant. You live under God's grace and favor. Therefore, your promise is found in the next Psalm.
God sets the standard for your lifespan at your own satisfaction. If you are not satisfied at eighty, you can trust God for more years.
Do not let a wilderness song define your inheritance. Jesus took the wrath of God on the cross. You now receive His favor.
You are not under the wrath of the wilderness; you are under the grace of the cross.
