True holiness flows from believing the gospel, not striving.

Trying to be holy without the gospel is like trying to breathe without air.
It becomes a struggle that was never meant to be one.

Paul makes the source unmistakable:

“It is God who works in you, both to will and to work for His good pleasure.”
Philippians 2:13

Holiness isn’t self-powered.
It’s God-produced.

You can white-knuckle your behavior for a while,
but sooner or later the heart reveals what it trusts.

When you trust the gospel —
that you are forgiven, justified, and accepted —
your heart relaxes, and holiness stops being a burden.
It becomes a joy.

Holiness is not the entry requirement into grace.
It’s the fruit that grows once grace has found you.

Holiness isn’t achieved; it’s received.
