Many people imagine God evaluating them like a teacher marking exams, grading their thoughts and measuring their failures.

Paul writes:

“For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.”
Colossians 3:3

You are hidden and covered in Him.

The Father does not assess you apart from Christ.
He sees you through the One who fulfilled the law and rose in victory.

John writes:

“As He is, so are we in this world.”
1 John 4:17

It does not say “as you hope to become,” or “as you are on a good day.” It says as He is.

Christ is your standing and your righteousness. He is the measure God uses.

When God looks at you, He doesn’t see a report card. He sees His Son.
