Most of us live as if our emotions are the truest part of us.

But remember this:

You are a spirit.
You have a soul (your thoughts and emotions).
You live in a body.

Paul writes:

“May your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless.”
1 Thessalonians 5:23

That means your emotions are real —
but they are not you.
They’re part of your soul, not the core of your being.

This changes everything.

If your emotions aren’t your identity,
then you don’t have to obey them.
You don’t have to bow to every impulse,
panic at every fear,
or follow every surge of desire.

Your spirit — made alive in Christ — is stronger than your moods.

“Walk by the Spirit, and you will not fulfill the lust of the flesh.”
Galatians 5:16

You’re not being cold by refusing to be bullied by your feelings.
You’re being whole.

Your emotions are loud, but your spirit is true.
