Why God Isn’t Nervous About Your Flaws

One of the hardest things to believe is that God sees you as clean even when you still see flaws in yourself.
Jesus told His disciples, “You are clean because of the word which I have spoken to you” (John 15:3).
Not becoming clean — already clean.
The bible talks about 2 types of cleansing:
-
A once-for-all bath (Titus 3:5; Hebrews 10:10).
-
A daily washing of the “dust” of life (John 13:10).
The dust is real. Mistakes, weakness, temptations — they happen.
But dust never changes your identity. Dust never rewrites your story. Dust never removes the robe of righteousness Christ placed on you.
Paul writes, “There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus” (Romans 8:1).
Now — not after you fix yourself.
Now — not after you pray more.
Now — because the blood of Jesus remains on you even when life feels messy.
When God looks at you, He does not see “sin on you.”
Yes, sin exists in your humanity, but God sees you in Christ — covered, cleansed, and welcomed (Ephesians 1:6).
This is why you can come boldly. Not nervously. Not cautiously.
You are not an outsider trying to enter. You are a child sitting at the table.
The Father does not flinch at your flaws; He sees the finished work of His Son.
Grace wants you to live from acceptance, not toward acceptance.
