The world teaches us to look for a way out. When a recession hits, the common response is to flee toward immediate gratification. People look for the "quick win" or the fastest return on investment. They move toward Egypt.

In the Bible, Egypt represents the world's system of logic. It is a system built on human effort and visible resources. But God spoke a different instruction to Isaac during a time of famine.

Then the Lord appeared to him and said, "Do not go down to Egypt; live in the land of which I shall tell you. Dwell in this land, and I'll be with you and bless you." Genesis 26:2–3

To thrive, you must resist the urge to adopt the world's tactics. The world prizes speed and shortcuts. God prizes labor and endurance. The Bible states that he that gathers by labor shall increase.

When you honor your employer and work with integrity, you are not just serving a company. You are operating under a different economy. You are choosing to stay in the land God assigned to you rather than running to the world’s "Egypt" for a temporary fix.

The goal isn't just to survive a financial crisis; it is to function by a set of rules that do not fluctuate with the market.

Survival is a reaction; dwelling is a strategy.
