When believers hear the word “discipline,” they imagine punishment.
The Bible speaks of a loving Father shaping His children.

Scripture says, “For whom the Lord loves He chastens” (Hebrews 12:6).
Love — not wrath — sits behind every correction.

Correction is never God rejecting you.
Correction is God protecting you.

The Father’s heart is seen clearly in His dealings with Jacob.
Jacob deceived his father using the skin of goats (Genesis 27:16).
Years later, Jacob was deceived by his own sons using the blood of a goat (Genesis 37:31).

Not revenge — restoration.
Not abandonment — shaping.

Hebrews continues:
“No chastening seems joyful… nevertheless, afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness” (Hebrews 12:11).

A Father who never disciplines does not love.
A Father who disciplines without love is not God.

God’s discipline is never about making you pay.
Jesus already paid.
Discipline is simply the Father leading His children back to life.

Discipline is not God turning from you but God turning you toward what gives life.
