The Oldest Lie in the World

If you trace human pain back to its beginning, you’ll eventually hear a single voice asking a single question:
“Did God really say…?”
Genesis 3:1
That was the enemy’s first strategy.
And it still is.
He doesn’t begin by tempting you to sin.
He begins by tempting you to doubt — God’s goodness, God’s generosity, God’s heart toward you.
The bible shows us clearly:
“Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life.”
Psalm 23:6
It didn’t say maybe.
It didn’t say if I behave.
It didn’t say on good days only.
It said surely.
But the enemy wants to insert a crack right there.
To make “surely” feel uncertain.
To make God’s kindness look questionable.
To make you suspect the One who loves you most.
If you must doubt someone, let it not be God.
Doubt the serpent’s voice.
Doubt the lie that God is withholding.
Doubt the whisper that says you’re forgotten, unseen, or unloved.
Jesus settled this once and for all:
“He who has seen Me has seen the Father.”
John 14:9
If you want to know how God feels about you, watch Jesus.
Healing the outcast.
Touching the unclean.
Feeding the hungry.
Lifting the broken.
That is God’s heart — uncovered, unfiltered, unmistakable.
The enemy wants you to question God.
The cross wants you to trust Him.
The lie always starts with doubt; the truth always starts with Jesus.
