The Key to Hearing

There is a spiritual principle locked inside the story of Joseph’s brothers.
When the brothers came to Egypt during the famine, Joseph accused them of being spies. He wasn't being cruel; he was looking for a change of heart. He needed to know if they still disregarded their father’s love.
To test them, Joseph bound one brother and threw him in prison. The brother’s name was Shimon (שִׁמְעוֹן) — Simeon.
The name Simeon comes from the root word Shema (שְׁמַע) — “hear.”
Hearing was locked up.
Joseph gave them a condition: Simeon (Hearing) would not be released until they brought their youngest brother, Benjamin, to him.
Benjamin represents the son of the right hand—the generation of Grace.
For a long time, true spiritual hearing has been bound. We have read the commandments, specifically the Shema:
The word Echad (אֶחָד) — “one” — in that verse implies a compound unity, a triune God. But you cannot truly hear or understand the fullness of God until you bring Benjamin into the room.
When Grace arrives, hearing is unlocked. When the Son of the Right Hand is presented, the ears are opened.
You cannot understand the Law until you have encountered Grace.
