It's quite a relief when I realised that I do not have to plan an escape route,
I'm only asked to trust the One who already is the escape.

Paul writes,
“But with the temptation will also make the way of escape.”
1 Corinthians 10:13

In Greek, Paul uses the definite article.
Not a way.
The way.

And when Jesus says,
“I am the way, the truth, and the life,”
John 14:6

the whole picture becomes clear.

Your way out of the trial isn’t hidden.
It isn’t random.
It isn’t something you must search for anxiously.

Your way out has a name.
Your way out comes close.
Your way out holds you.

Communion appears just two verses later (1 Corinthians 10:16). The Bible seems to show the connection: the escape God gives is not a strategy but a Savior — and the table reminds you of Him.

When everything feels tight, dark, or impossible, the exit isn’t far off.
He’s already with you.

Sometimes the freedom we need begins when we stop looking for an answer and start looking at Jesus.
