The law asks, “What did you do?”
Grace asks, “Who are you with?”

If Peter had been led by law, he would have stayed in the boat.
The law would remind him of denial, failure, and broken promises.

But grace does something different.

“There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” Romans 8:1

Condemnation produces distance.
Grace produces approach.

Law sharpens awareness of sin.
Grace sharpens awareness of God.

That’s why Peter could move toward Jesus without rehearsing his failure first.
Grace had already settled the relationship.

Scripture says it clearly:

“The law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.” John 1:17

Grace doesn’t deny truth.
It delivers truth without fear.

When your focus stays on sin, confidence erodes.
When your focus shifts to Christ, strength returns.

Grace doesn’t ignore your failure.
It refuses to define you by it.

What you look at determines how you move.
