Jesus Moves at the Father’s Pace, Not Ours

Jairus’ daughter was dying.
Every second mattered.
But on the way to her, Jesus stopped.
A woman touched His garment, and He turned, looked for her, spoke to her, called her “Daughter.”
Most of us would’ve rushed ahead.
Jesus didn’t.
Why?
Because He lived by a different rhythm — the Father’s.
The story unfolds like this:
“While He was still speaking, someone came from the ruler of the synagogue’s house, saying, ‘Your daughter is dead. Do not trouble the Teacher.’ But when Jesus heard it, He answered him, saying, ‘Do not be afraid; only believe.’”
Luke 8:49–50
Jesus wasn’t late.
He wasn’t distracted.
He wasn’t inefficient.
He was operating in kairos — God’s perfect timing.
And that’s why He could pause for one miracle while heading toward another.
That’s why He could stay calm in moments that would make us panic.
That’s why delay never intimidated Him.
He knew the Father makes all things beautiful in His time (Ecclesiastes 3:11).
And He invites you to trust that timing too.
