How you see your problem determines how long you stay in it.

When the twelve spies went into the Promised Land, ten of them came back trembling. They saw the harvest, but they also saw the walls and the giants. They said, "We are like grasshoppers in their sight."

But two men, Joshua and Caleb, saw the exact same giants and came to a different conclusion.

"Only do not rebel against the Lord, nor fear the people of the land, for they are our bread; their protection has departed from them, and the Lord is with us. Do not fear them." Numbers 14:9

They didn't deny the giants existed. They just changed the menu. They said, "They are bread for us."

Bread is something you eat. Bread nourishes you. Bread makes you stronger.

When you face a "giant"—a financial crisis, a health scare, a relationship struggle—you have a choice. You can see yourself as the grasshopper, about to be crushed. Or you can look at that giant and say, "This problem is going to feed my faith. I will come out of this stronger than I went in."

God loved that spirit. The ten who saw themselves as victims never entered the land. The two who saw the giants as lunch not only entered the land, they thrived in it.

Your difficulties are not there to consume you; they are there for you to consume.
