From the Storm to the Flowing Land

Seasons often begin with a storm. You look at the world, and you see turmoil. You look at your circumstances, and you feel the wind. The boat seems to be in the middle of a rough sea, and anxiety tries to take over.
But the storm is not your destination.
God did not rescue Israel from Egypt to leave them in the wilderness. He rescued them to bring them into a specific place.
"He has brought us to this place and has given us this land, 'a land flowing with milk and honey.'"Deuteronomy 26:9 (NKJV)
The word "flowing" describes abundance. It means more than enough. It means the supply exceeds the demand. God does not just bring you to a land that contains resources; He brings you to a land where resources overflow.
When you face a difficult start to your year, your career, or your family project, remember the end of the journey. God does not leave His people in the middle of the sea. He brings them through the waves and into a land of overflow.
The storm is just the transit; the destination is always abundance.
